En «Triunfo y derrota de la comunicación»(2008) Héctor Schmuclerajustaba cuentas con el devenir delcampo comunicación/ cultura y sepreguntaba cuánto hay de especí-ficamente latinoamericano en lasaproximaciones conceptuales quese consagraron en el saber de comunicacióny cultura. En este artículo,la pregunta es qué suponehoy un proyecto de comunicación/cultura y se apuntan tres posiblesejes problemáticos: en primer lugar,que la concepción instrumental delos medios no ha sido superada enla práctica; en segundo lugar, quelos «efectos» del relativismo culturaladquieren nuevas máscaras; porúltimo, que el análisis ideológico delos medios adquiere nuevas funcionesen esta etapa.

In this article, the question is what supposes today a project of communication/ culture and three possible problematic axes sign: first, that the instrumental conception of the means has not been overcome in the practice; secondly, that the “effects” of the cultural relativism acquire new masks; finally, that the ideological analysis of the means acquires new functions in this stage.
