Don Quijote, o el primer sujeto moderno

Este trabajo se propone analizar la figura de Don Quijote, en la novela de Cervantes, a la luz de una teoría general de las tres matrices narrativas (cosmogónica, heroica, novelesca) que define la gradual declinación en voluntad, poder y eficacia del actante-sujeto en sus relaciones con el objeto-mundo. El caso de Don Quijote se presenta como emblemático de la nueva subjetividad moderna, no solo porque inaugura el modelo de un sujeto de pretensiones omnipotentes frente a la realidad objetiva, sino porque anticipa y en cierto modo consuma la entera parábola de la Modernidad, al presentar la evolución de ese inicial sujeto omnipotente y eficaz hacia la ineficacia, la impotencia, la abulia y el fracaso.
This work intends to analyze the figure of Don Quixote, in the novel of Cervantes, in the light of a general theory of the three narrative matrixes (cosmogonic, heroic, and novelistic) that define the gradual decline in will, power and effectiveness of the actant-subject in its relations with the world-object. The case of Don Quixote presents itself as emblematic of the new modern subjectivity, not only because it inaugurates the model of a subject of omnipotent pretensions vis-a-vis objective reality, but because it anticipates, and in a certain way consumes, the entire parable of Modernity, by presenting the evolution of that initial omnipotent and effective subject towards ineffectiveness, impotence, apathy and failure.
