Sobre temporalidad queer: Alcance y potencia de una noción emergente

Este artículo aborda la noción de temporalidad queer, categoría que recorre un campo de problemas significativo y novedoso en los estudios de género en lengua hispana, revitalizado por un volumen significativo de nuevas producciones y traducciones. En el cruce entre giro afectivo y giro temporal, la temporalidad queer aparece como una falla: en los marcos temporales de la producción y la reproducción, la familia, la herencia (Freeman, Edelman, Muñoz), en la estructura temporal inscrita en las narrativas del éxito (Halberstam, Love), y en la felicidad y el optimismo en tanto que promesa y relación (Ahmed, Berlant). El trabajo aborda la noción en tres etapas: a) una reflexión desde la categoría de marcos temporales, considerando al tiempo en tanto horizonte normativo, b) una pregunta por aquello que vuelve a una temporalidad queer, donde resultan cruciales la pregunta por el sujeto y la pregunta por lo cuir; y c) un ensayo de articulación entre la pregunta por el tiempo y la pregunta por las corporalidades y emociones que esos marcos temporales contienen o dejan fuera. Quiénes son nuestras contemporáneas, con quiénes compartimos el mismo ahora, y, éticamente, qué comunidades podemos habitar con lxs otrxs temporales.
This article addresses the notion of queer temporality, a notion that goes through a significant and novel field of problems in gender studies in Spanish language, revitalized by a large volume of new productions and translations. At the crossroads between affective turn and temporal turn, queer temporality appears as a failure: in the temporal frames of production and reproduction, family and inheritance (Freeman, Edelman, Muñoz); in the temporal structure inscribed in the narratives of success (Halberstam, Love),and in happiness and optimism as a promise and as relationship (Ahmed, Berlant). Our work addresses the notion in three stages: a) a critical reflection on temporal frames, considering time as a normative horizon, b) an interrogation about what makes a temporality queer, where it becomes crucial the question of the subject and queerness; and c) an articulation attempt between the question of time and the inquiry on corporalities and emotions that these temporal frames contain or leave out. Who are our contemporaries, with whom we share the same now, and, ethically, what communities can we inhabit with temporal others.
