En este texto de presentación, expongo algunas razones que hacen a la necesidad de continuar promoviendo la creciente renovación de los estudios sobre la filosofía política de Kant. Kant fue un gran filósofo político y la negligencia en la que cayeron los textos de la década madura de su producción filosófica hizo que este hecho fuera invisibilizado en la historia de la filosofía y que su recepción fuera completamente defectuosa. Planteo asimismo algunas preguntas nodales como agenda investigativa tras la lectura de los sólidos textos de este número especial.Palabras clave: Kant; filosofía política; nuevas lecturas.
