Proyectos políticos irreconciliables: Egidio Romano y Juan de París. Acerca del orden del mundo y la jerarquía eclesiástica

En este trabajo intentaremos mostrar cómo se oponen los pensamientos de Egidio Romano y Juan de París con respecto a la relación entre el poder regio y el poder papal; y notaremos que en dicha relación la noción de “dominium” juega un papel muy importante. Puntualmente, veremos que sus posiciones en la materia tienen enormes diferencias con respecto al orden del universo y la jerarquía eclesiástica, por lo cual sus ideas generales resultan irreconciliables. A lo largo del análisis, aparecerán elementos del contexto histórico que explican en cierta medida el modo en que se diera el conflicto entre estos autores.
In this paper we try to show how thoughts of Giles of Rome and John of Paris oppose with respect to the relationship between the royal power and the papal power; and we will note that in this regard the concept of «dominium» plays a very important role. Specifically, we will see that their positions on the matter have huge differences regarding the order of the universe and the ecclesiastical hierarchy, and that is why their general ideas result irreconcilables. Throughout the analysis, many elements of the historical context appear, and they help to explain to some extent the way how the conflict between these authors was given.
