Los textos literarios no producen realidades historicas, pero en ellos pueden percibirse orientaciones y cambios sociales que definen una produccion cultural determinada. Este es el caso del protagonismo burgues en un relato castellano del siglo XIV (Carlos Maynes), la ultima de las nueve historias que integran el Ms. Esc. h-I-13, como testimonio de la asociacion de valores heroicos con este grupo social identificado con el crecimiento urbano.
The literary texts not produce historical events, but in them can be detected social changes and orientations that define a certain cultural production. This is the situation of the bourgeois important role in a spanish text that dates from the 14th century (Carlos Maynes), the last history of Ms. Esc. h-I-13, as a testimony of the association of heroic ideas with this social group identified with the urban growth.
