Este trabajo busca establecer una conexión entre la tesis de Carlo Michelstaedter, La persuasione e la rettorica, y la teoría de géneros discursivos de Mijaíl Bajtín, expuesta en Estética de la creación verbal. Se destaca la importancia del análisis discursivo y la interrelación entre el individuo y las instituciones, así como el papel activo tanto del oyente como del hablante en la comunicación. Michelstaedter sostiene que el discurso debe motivar la acción, con énfasis en la necesidad de diálogo y persuasión. Por su parte, Bajtín resalta la interacción entre enunciados y la respuesta social. El trabajo explora las teorías de ambos autores para reflexionar sobre la crítica a las instituciones y la relevancia de la escucha activa en la comunicación.
This paper establishes a connection between Carlo Michelstaedter’s thesis, La persuasione e la rettorica, and Mikhail Bakhtin’s theory of discursive genres, presented in Aesthetics of Verbal Creation. It highlights the importance of discursive analysis, the interrelation between the individual and the institutions, and the active role of both the listener and the speaker in communication. Michelstaedter argues that discourse must motivate action, emphasizing the need for dialogue and persuasion. On the other hand, Bakhtin underscores the interaction between statements and social responses. This work intends to explore both authors’ theories to reflect on the criticism of institutions and the relevance of active listening in communication.
