Synthesis and characterization of conjugated olygomers by acetone self-condensation end-functionalized with 4-hydroxycoumarin

A conjugated olygomers with ending 4-hydroxycoumarin has been prepared by condensation of acetone using sulfuric acid as a catalyst. The resulting polymer was characterized by Matrix Assisted Laser desorption/ionization Time-of-flight (MALDI-Tof) and Fourier Transformation Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) methods.
