Fronteras inestables y eficaces. El ingreso de organizaciones de desocupados a la burocracia asistencial del Estado: Argentina (2003-2008)

El artículo analiza el proceso de incorporación de miembros de organizaciones de desocupados al aparato del Estado en la Argentina reciente. Sobre la base de entrevistas y observaciones etnográficas, se analiza la narrativa que significa dicha incorporación, el entramado de relaciones en las que participan en el espacio estatal y las tensiones que derivan de su doble condición de militantes de base y representantes estatales. Se sugiere que este proceso reviste un interés teórico singular para explorar los procesos de construcción y disputa de las fronteras estatales. En ese sentido, se sostendrá que la mediación recíproca entre las prácticas militantes y la investidura estatal permite visibilizar el carácter inestable, y al mismo tiempo eficaz, de los mecanismos que establecen la especificidad de la autoridad estatal.
The induction process of members of organizations of unemployed into the apparatus of the State in Argentina in the recent past is analyzed. Drawing on interviews and ethnographic observations, the narrative implied in such process, the fabric of relations in which the unemployed participate in government spaces, and the tensions that derive from their dual status as grass-roots militants and State representatives are discussed. It is suggested that this process is of unique theoretical interest in the exploration of the processes of construction of, and competition over State’s boundaries. In that regard, the argument is that mutual mediation between militant practices and State endorsements reveals the unstable and yet effective nature of the mechanisms that establish the specificity of the authority of the State.
