La elección del punto de vista a partir del cual se observa la ciudad es el primer elemento para definir qué tipo de representación de la metrópoli moderna y de la experiencia asociada a ella es posible configurar en el discurso de las ciencias sociales y el arte. El presente artículo propone analizar la representación de Santiago de Chile en la novela Nocturno de Chile, de Roberto Bolaño, y en las crónicas que Pedro Lemebel reúne en Loco afán, teniendo en cuenta que ambos coinciden también en el marco histórico: la ciudad de Santiago que intentan reconstruir corresponde a los tiempos de la dictadura militar que encabezó Pinochet desde 1973 hasta 1990. El análisis abordará la relación entre el punto de vista subjetivo escogido por cada autor y la representación resultante de la ciudad en los años de dictadura.
The choice of the point of view from which the city is observed is the first element to define what kind of representation of the modern metropolis and of the urban experience can be configured in the discourse of social sciences and art. This article aims to analyze the representation of Santiago de Chile in Nocturno de Chile, novel by Roberto Bolaño, and in the chronicles collected by Pedro Lemebel in Loco afán, considering that they also coincide on the historical context: the city of Santiago they try to rebuild corresponds to the time of the military dictatorship that Pinochet headed from 1973 to 1990. The analysis will address the relationship between the subjective point of view chosen by each author and the resulting representation of the city in years of dictatorship.
