El liberalismo revolucionario en Argentina y la república posible, ¿conservadora y progresista?

El artículo cuestiona el uso, por la historiografía argentina, del concepto alberdiano de "república posible", unido al de "orden conservador", para caracterizar el período de los gobiernos liberales en Argentina tras la constitución de 1853-1860. No sólo porque lo que se entiende por conservador suele ser equívoco, sino también porque el concepto de república suele confundirse con el democracia. Pero, principalmente, porque el liberalismo de esa época, además de estatista, fue revolucionario por el sistemático recurso a la violencia para implantar el progreso. Desde esta nueva perspectiva se debe redefinir qué se entiende por conservador (aplicado al liberalismo argentino) y qué tipo de república se implantó entonces (esto es, qué diferencia la república posible de la verdadera).
The article puts in inquiry the uses of «achievable republic», coined by Alberdi, and of «conservative order» used by the Argentinean historiography to characterize the liberal governments period that followed the 1853-1860 constitution in Argentina. Not only because conservative is an ambiguous concept and republic is usually confused with democracy, but chiefly because the liberalism was, in that epoch, armed by the powers of the State and revolutionary too, due to the systematic use of violence to establish the progress. Through this new vision must be specifying again what we understand by conservative and what kind of republic was implanted in this period.
