El vino en el Pedagogo de Clemente de Alejandría

En el segundo libro del Pedagogo, Clemente reflexiona sobre el tópico del vino, los efectos corporales de su ingesta y sus alcances idolátricos mediante la puesta en oposición de dos polos: remedio curativo y droga perjudicial. Se analizará en el texto del alejandrino las prescripciones sobre el uso del vino razonadas a partir de las disposiciones del discurso paulino, y la manera en que las ideas trasmitidas por autores anteriores y contemporáneos al autor no solo coinciden con las trabajadas por Clemente, sino que se mantienen en una posición ambigua que oscila entre la aceptación del vino y sus propiedades curativas, y el rechazo de su uso excesivo o idolátrico.
In the second book of the Paedagogus, Clement thinks about the topic of wine, the corporal effects of its ingestion and its idolatrous reach by the opposition of two poles: curative remedy and prejudicial drug. We will analyze in the text of the Alexandrian the prescriptions in the use of wine reasoned from the dispositions of Paul's discourse, and the way in which the ideas transmitted by previous and contemporary authors to this writer not only coincide with those developed by Clement, but also remain in an ambiguous position that oscillates between the acceptance of wine and its curative properties, and the rejection of its excessive or idolatrous use.
