Cambios en la estructura sociodemográfica de los migrantes limítrofes de la última década en Argentina. Un aporte metodológico

En Argentina, a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XX en especial, se modificaron sustancialmente las características principales de los patrones migratorios alterando las estructuras sociodemográficas de los segmentos poblacionales involucrados. Esto provocó que se transitara de una estructura a otra final, dando origen a nuevas particularidades dignas de ser investigadas. Así, dado este proceso de cambio, resulta de interés reconocer cuáles son los puntos de ruptura (o cambio) más relevantes. Este trabajo se enfoca en analizar las alteraciones en ciertas características sociodemográficas de los inmigrantes mediante la aplicación de intervalos confidenciales múltiples. Dicho método permitirá, en este caso, detectar si hubo cambios significativos en la edad, el nivel educativo, la cantidad de hijos y la situación conyugal de los inmigrantes de países limítrofes entre el año 2003 y el 2012; se utilizan los datos provistos por la Encuesta Permanente de Hogares de Argentina de dichos años. Asimismo, como resultado se logran individualizar aquellos componentes responsables de tales cambios, si efectivamente los hubiera.
In Argentina, after the second half of the twentieth century, substantially changed the main characteristics of migration patterns by altering the demographic structure of the population segments involved. This caused a variation in the initial structure, arising new peculiarities worthy to be investigated. Thus, given this process of change, it is interesting to detect the more relevant breakpoints in the socio-demographic characteristics of migrants. This work focuses on analyzing the changes in certain demographic characteristics of immigrants by applying multiple confidence intervals. This method will we able to detect if there were significant changes in the age, educational level, number of children and marital status of immigrants from neighboring countries between 2003 and 2012. Data were provided by the Household Survey of Argentina in those years. Also, the focus is to identify those components responsible for these changes, if there were effectively.
