Crónica y biopolítica: Reflexiones a partir de algunos textos de José Enrique Rodó

Este artículo toma como objeto de análisis una serie de textosperiodísticos de José Enrique Rodó centrados en el acontecimiento de laprimera guerra mundial. Nuestro propósito es ver en ellos la inscripción deuna reflexión de orden biopolítico, en función de la cual cobra importanciael rol de observador propio del cronista. La figura del observador enlaza, ade-más, estás crónicas que se podrían considerar tardíamente modernistascon la retórica del naturalismo literario. // This article takes as its object of analysis a series of journalistictexts written by José Enrique Rodó and focused on the event of the FirstWorld War. We detect in them the reflection on a biopolitical order and, inconsequence, the importance that acquires the chronicler’s observer role.The figure of the observer also links these chronicles that could beconsidered belatedly modernist with the rhetoric of the literary naturalism.
