Representaciones humorísticas de la violencia en la revista HUM(R) (1978-1979)

En Argentina, en 1978, ciertas grietas comenzaron a aparecer en la coraza impuesta por la dictadura institucional de las Fuerzas Armadas de 1976. En el año en que las Fuerzas Armadas se propusieron comenzar a pensar la etapa fundacional del Proceso de Reorganización Nacional, se celebró en el país el Campeonato Mundial de Fútbol. En ese contexto de euforia mundialista surgió la revista HUM®, una nueva publicación de humor gráfico que se caracterizó por ser masiva e independiente y por desplegarse en los márgenes del campo cultural y periodístico. Lentamente, HUM® fue aglutinando a su alrededor voces críticas a la situación cultural, económica, social y política impuesta por los militares y los civiles que apoyaban al proyecto castrense. El trabajo propone analizar un grupo de representaciones del dictador ugandés Idi Amin publicadas en la revista HUM® principalmente entre 1978 y 1979. La hipótesis es que dichas representaciones buscaron representar de manera ambigua, oblicua e indirecta tanto a las atrocidades del proyecto destructivo que las Fuerzas Armadas pusieron en marcha en 1976 y que denominaron “lucha antisubversiva” como aquellas perpetradas por Montoneros, organización guerrillera peronista que en 1979 emprendió la “Contraofensiva”. Para el análisis se tendrá en cuenta el contexto sociopolítico de la publicación de estos chistes así como también las características particulares de la revista HUM® y el lugar que ésta ocupaba en el campo cultural.
In Argentina, in 1978, certain cracks began to appear in the shell imposed by the institutional dictatorship of the Armed Forces in 1976. In this context of World Cup euphoria, HUM® magazine emerged, a new graphic humor publication that was characterized by being massive and independent and by spreading out on the margins of the cultural and journalistic field. Slowly, HUM® was gathering around it voices critical of the cultural, economic, social and political situation imposed by the military and civilians who supported the military project. The paper proposes to analyze a group of representations of the Ugandan dictator Idi Amin published in the HUM® magazine mainly between 1978 and 1979. The hypothesis is that these representations sought to represent in an ambiguous, oblique and indirect way both the atrocities of the destructive project that the Forces Armed forces launched in 1976 and called "anti-subversive struggle" like those perpetrated by Montoneros, a Peronist guerrilla organization that in 1979 undertook the "Counteroffensive." For the analysis, the sociopolitical context of the publication of these jokes will be taken into account, as well as the particular characteristics of the HUM® magazine and the place it occupied in the cultural field.
