Estas notas retoman aquello que vincula la teoría psicoanalítica con el amplio campo de las ciencias sociales, explorando cuál es el aporte significativo que la hipótesis de los ‘procesos anímicos inconscientes’ hace al conocimiento sobre el vínculo social. El punto de partida que organiza el trabajo es la necesidad de pensar al psicoanálisis como un conocimiento de tipo histórico, esto es, constituyendo al individuo como el lugar en el que se verifica y se debate el sentido de la historia y de nuestras sociedades, sin lo cual la conducta de las personas se convertiría en algo insignificante. Desde esta perspectiva, la ‘aplicación’ del psicoanálisis en las ciencias sociales no puede reducirse a ocupar el lugar de un mero anexo o apéndice de las mismas, sino que constituye su extensión necesaria. Esto es, proporciona herramientas conceptuales para una teoría de la subjetividad que contenga en sus presupuestos mismos la densidad histórica del mundo que la organiza como tal.
These notes deal with the links between psychoanalytic theory and the wide-ranging realm of social sciences, exploring the significant contributions that the hypothesis of ‘unconscious mental processes’ makes to the knowledge of social bonds. The starting point that the paper organizes is the need to think of psychoanalysis as knowledge of a historical nature, i.e., establishing the individual as the place where the sense of history and of our societies occurs and is discussed, without which people’s behavior would become insignificant. From this perspective, the ‘application’ of psychoanalysis in the social sciences cannot be reduced to a mere attachment or appendix thereof, but rather it constitutes a necessary expansion. That is, it provides conceptual tools for a theory of subjectivity whose presuppositions contain the historical density of the world that organizes it as such.
