Autobiografía e identidad narrativa en Paul Ricoeur

En el presente artículo analizaremos el rol de la autobiografía en Tiempo y narración, intentando comprender los motivos por los que este género literario no tiene tanta relevancia en la obra de Ricoeur. En lo referente a su relación con la identidad narrativa, sostendremos que, a pesar de lo que se podría suponer, la identidad narrativa es una derivación del análisis de la autobiografía y no a la inversa. Invertido este vínculo, nuestro segundo paso consistirá en deslindar el tipo de relación que tienen las ficciones literarias y los relatos de vida en la identidad narrativa.
In this paper we will study autobiography’s function in Time and Narrative.We will try to understand the reasons why this literary genre is not so relevant in Ricoeur’s work. Regarding its relationship with narrative identity, we will argue that, despite what might be supposed, narrative identity is a derivation of the analysis of autobiography and not the other way around. Having established this link, our second step will be to define the type of relation that literary fictions and life stories have in narrative identity.
