La imagen fantasma: Falta y foto en dos novelas de Mario Bellatin

En este artículo, nos proponemos analizar dos novelas breves de Mario Bellatin que contienen series de fotografías. Por fuera de toda idea de ilustración, dichos libros usan las imágenes para ampliar los límites del relato e incluso para contradecir la literalidad de los textos. Por otro lado, el carácter incompleto y fragmentario de cada imagen se relaciona con los temas de ambas novelas: los cuerpos que tienen una falta, que llevan a lo real la no-totalidad del sujeto más allá de su imagen en el espejo.
In this article, we propose to analyze two short novels by Mario Bellatin that contain series of photographs. Outside of any idea of illustration, such books use images to extend the limits of the story and even to contradict the literality of the texts. On the other hand, the incomplete and fragmentary character of each image is related to the themes of both novels: the bodies that have a lack, which bring to the real the non- totality of the subject beyond its image in the mirror.
