Envolvente y comportamiento térmico: Caso de estudio, edificio escolar en San Juan, Argentina

En los establecimientos escolares, alcanzar condiciones de confort térmico óptimas resulta sustancial, dado que alumnos y docentes permanecen gran parte del día en las aulas, durante el periodo lectivo. El objetivo del trabajo es analizar la incorporación de mejoras constructivas en la envolvente de un edificio escolar que aporten al confort térmico y al ahorro energético. Se desarrolla una investigación aplicada, mediante el estudio de un caso representativo. Primeramente, mediante simulación dinámica se obtiene el diagnóstico inicial del edificio. Seguidamente se analizan los efectos en el confort térmico luego de aplicar las mejoras constructivas en la envolvente edilicia. Los resultados evidencian mejoras en el confort de las aulas, entre un 20.2% y un 27.4% para EF-A4 y entre el 63.1% y 83.3% para EF-A5. Dada la importancia del confort en los edificios escolares, se enfatiza la necesidad de rehabilitar los parámetros que contribuyan directamente con este aspecto.
In schools, achieving optimal thermal comfort conditions is substantial, given that students and teachers spend much of the day in the classroom, during the school period. The objective of the work is to analyze the incorporation of constructive improvements in the envelope of a school building that contribute to thermal comfort and energy savings. Applied research is developed through the study of a representative case. First, through dynamic simulation, the initial diagnosis of the building is obtained. Next, the effects on thermal comfort are analyzed after applying the constructive improvements in the building envelope. The results show improvements in classroom comfort, between 20% and 9% for the EF-A4 and between 63% and 38% for the EF-A5. Given the importance of comfort in school buildings, the need to rehabilitate the parameters that directly contribute to this aspect is emphasized.
