El presente artículo reflexiona sobre los cambios culturales, sociales, económicos, tecnológicos y de comportamiento que caracterizan a las sociedades latinoamericanas y caribeñas en este momento de pasaje del mundo analógico al digital. Como ejemplo de esos cambios, el trabajo trata de las posibilidades de inclusión social que traen las nuevas tecnologías, como la televisión digital, y de la convergencia entre los distintos aparatos, como celulares, radio y cine digital, computadoras con acceso a Internet y los videojuegos en red.
The present article reflects about the cultural, social, economical, technological and behaviour changes that characterize the Latin-American and Caribbean societies in that very moment of the passage from the analogical to the digital world. As an example of these changes, the article talks about the possibilities of social incorporation that the new technologies bring with, as the digital television, as well as the convergence between the different devices: cellular phones, radio and digital cinema, computers with access to Internet and the video games in the net.
