Pensar las perspectivas y los desafíos de la Historia del arte del siglo xxi es un convite que moviliza el examen de las acciones recientes, y no tanto, que desarrollamos en el terreno en el que actuamos. La universidad, y de manera asociada otras zonas de la institucionalidad artística, es el lugar social en el que se inscriben esas prácticas, repartidas entre la enseñanza, el estudio y la investigación; el acompañamiento de los procesos de investigación de otrxs; la escritura y la divulgación en distintos formatos y soportes. Los comentarios que siguen exponen una serie de opiniones sobre la disciplina forjadas en contacto con algunas de esas tareas y sus mutaciones en los últimos años.
Thinking about the perspectives and challenges of the Art History in the 21st century is a task that mobilizes the examination of recent actions that we develop in the field in which we operate. The university, and in an associated way other areas of the artistic institutionality, is the social place in which these practices are inscribed, divided between teaching, study and research; the accompaniment of the investigation processes of others; writing and dissemination in different formats and supports. The comments that follow expose a series of opinions on the discipline forged in contact with some of these tasks and their mutations in recent years.
