Infrared absorption spectra of bis(monofluorocarbonyl) and bis(trifluoromethyl)-peroxides

Infrared absorption spectra of gaseous (FCO)2O2 and (F3C)2O2 have been obtained in the NaCl and KBr regions. By comparison with the spectra of F2CO and F3COF, most of the bands related to fundamental vibration modes of the molecules of both peroxides have been identified. Results agree with the structure previously postulated for both substances.
