Historia y fantasía: la revalorización de la teoría psicoanalítica en Joan Scott

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo indagar sobre un aspecto, poco conocido en nuestro país, de la obra de la historiadora Joan Scott, una figura central en el escenario de la teoría feminista y la historiografía desde los años ochenta. Se trata de lo que algunxs han denominado el “giro psicoanalítico”, esto es, la revalorización, en sus últimos textos, de algunas categorías de la teoría psicoanalítica para su proyecto de constituir una historia crítica feminista. En este sentido, se intentarán trazar los motivos que la llevaron, hacia fines de los años noventa, a la rehabilitación del potencial del psicoanálisis como perspectiva teórica, más allá del rechazo que evidencian sus primeros trabajos. Luego, el artículo se centrará principalmente en el modo en que Scott retoma el concepto de "fantasía" para complejizar los vínculos entre género, historia e identidad.
The aim of this article is to investigate an aspect, little known in our country, of the work of historian Joan Scott, a central figure on stage of feminist theory and historiography since 1980s. It's about what some have called the “psycoanalytic turn”, that is, the revaluation, in their last writings, of some categories of psycoanalytic theory for their project of constituting a feminist critical history. In this sense, I'll try to show the reasons that led her, towards the end of the 1990s, to the rehabilitation of the potential of psycoanalysis as a theoretical perspective, beyond the rejection evidenced by her first works. Then, the article will focus on the way in which Scott takes up the concept of "fantasy" to complicate the relations between gender, history and identity.
