Populus spp.: supervivencia y crecimiento en clones implantados en Buenos Aires, Argentina

El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la supervivencia, evolución de las alturas y áreas basales de rebrotes de clones de Populus spp. de diferentes procedencias implantados en Argiudoles típicos del borde Sur de la Pampa Ondulada, Buenos Aires, Argentina (34°55' S; 57°57' W; 15 m snm). Los clones evaluados fueron ‘Delta Gold’, ‘Stoneville 71’, ‘Catfish 2’, ‘Harvard’, ‘Onda’ e ‘I-74/51’. Se compararon, para el conjunto de clones, los comportamientos para el primero y segundo corte. Se realizó una evaluación de los resultados clonales al segundo turno de los valores dasométricos logrados. Los valores anuales en área basal individual media y las alturas totales medias observados desde el 2°al 8° año con los obtenidos al año 9, se correlacionaron año a año mediante un modelo lineal.
The objective of this work was to evaluate the survival, the growth evolution of total heights and basal areas of sprout clones of Populus spp. from different origins implanted in Argiudols typicals of the southern border of the Pampa Ondulada, Buenos Aires, Argentina (34°55' S; 57°57' W; 15 m osl). The clones tested were 'Delta Gold', 'Stoneville 71', 'Catfish 2', 'Harvard', 'Onda' and 'I-74/51'. The individual mean basal areas and the mean total heights were considered growth estimators. By means of Tukey test (p ≤ 0.05) it was compared the behavior of totality clones between the first and second harvest. The values observed age to age between the 2nd year and the 8th year were correlated with those of the 9th year. A differential behavior was observed, and the United States clones prevailed. The values of the growth estimators observed since the fourth year presented a relative behavior similar to the values obtained by the ninth year. The young-adult significant relation would allow the early selection within the growth parameters taken into account.
