The present chapter focuses on issues of admissibility and exclusion of evidence. Four main topics were identified as pertinent to this analysis, which are 1) relevance; 2) illegally obtained evidence; 3) hearsay; 4) undue prejudice. Privileges may also be included into the standards of admission in legal systems with broad recognition of in advance judicial control of evidence gathering.
