Pandemos: por una cultura antiviral

Partiendo de la situación de cuarentena y del vínculo entre el suspenso espacio/temporal y el pensamiento, el presente ensayo se propone problematizar la noción de pandemia, desplegando un concepto alternativo en torno al término «pandemos». Extendiendo la consideración de lo viral desde sus acepciones médicas hasta sus manifestaciones culturales, se intenta dar cuenta de que aquello que está en peligro en los tiempos que corren, y sobre lo que se deben desarrollar mecanismos de resistencia, concierne no solamente a la dimensión natural de la vida, sino también a la de las máximas creaciones humanas, escritas y visuales. Así, en torno a una noción de lo común/popular desligada del sustrato epidemiológico, se invita a generar instancias de medialidad pura, recuperando la importancia que para ello posee lo gestual.
Based on the quarantine situation and the relation between space/temporal suspense and thought, this paper proposes to problematize the notion of pandemic, unfolding an alternative concept around the term «pandemos». By extending the consideration of viral from its medical meanings to its cultural manifestations, it is intended to realize that which is in danger in the times that are running, and on what mechanisms of resistance must be developed, concerns not only the natural dimension of life, but also the highest human creations, written and visual. Thus, around a notion of the common/popular untied from the epidemiological substrate, it is invited to generate instances of pure mediality, recovering the importance of the gestural for this.
