- The author establishes, that in the treatment of syphilis, the following four factors shoud be taken into consideration. 1st The syphilitic virus. 2rd The state of the sick organism (Patient). 3rd The nature of the medicaments employed, and their route of administration. 4th The clinical manifestation of the disease, and the diagnosis of cure In accordance with these four factors, he formulates thirty-eight principles, or basic conceptions, and contends to form with them a body of doctrine by the name of «General Law of guide in the treatment of syphilis», adopting to our knowledge up to the present moment, until news investigations and estudies.
