The following text contains a Leibniz’s judgment about Caspar Rödeke`s project for a universal language, which was presented to the King of Prusia in 1708, in order to obtain financial support for its construction and putting in work. The request was remitted to the Berlin Real Society of Sciences for the appraisal of its feasibility. After some meetings, Leibniz, as the president of the commission, wrote a judgment that sums up the main considerations about the benefits and difficulties that bring up the construction and practical introduction not only of the language proposed by Rödeke, but also of every rational language in general.
El siguiente texto contiene el juicio de Leibniz sobre el proyecto de lenguaje universal que Caspar Rödeke presentó en 1708 ante el Rey de Prusia con el objeto de obtener una subvención económica con el fin de realizar dicho proyecto y ponerlo en práctica. La petición fue enviada a la Sociedad Real de Ciencias de Berlin para que fuese evaluada en lo que respecta a su factibilidad. Luego de varias reuniones, Leibniz elaboró un dictamen en el que se sintetizan las consideraciones relativas a los méritos y dificultades que implican la construcción y puesta en práctica no sólo del lenguaje propuesto por Rödeke, sino también de todo lenguaje racional universal en general.
