Abstract: The new financial technologies (Fintech) not only result in big opportunities to the economy and the financial inclusion, but also carry some challenging and uncertain aspects in these areas for the future. The article introduces the opportunities of the Fintech and discusses the challenges to the regulatory dimension and to financial education. It highlights that providing capabilities and financial education requires a multidimensional approach, which must inevitably include a series of dimensions such as intervention, measurement, evaluation and improvement of the new vicissitudes of the educational world in the digital age.
Resumen: Las nuevas tecnologías financieras (Fintech) no solo resultan en grandes oportunidades para la economía y la inclusión financiera, sino que también conllevan algunos aspectos desafiantes e inciertos en estas áreas para el futuro. El artículo presenta las oportunidades y pone en debate los desafíos de la Fintech a la dimensión regulatoria y a la educación financiera. Destaca que proporcionar capacidades y educación financiera requiere un enfoque multidimensional, que inevitablemente debe incluir una serie de dimensiones, tales como: intervención, medición, evaluación y mejora de las nuevas vicisitudes del mundo educativo en la era digital.
