La actualidad del "pequeño concilio” de Medellín y la novedad de la iglesia latinoamericana

Resumen: En 1968 Medellín representa la emergencia de nuestra figura eclesial regional. La asamblea se celebró en el simbólico año 1968, en el cual acontecieron muchos hechos significativos. En el ámbito secular se pueden nombrar: el asesinato de Martin Luther King en Menphis, la revolución estudiantil simbolizada en el mayo de París, la frustrada primavera de Praga, la masacre de Tlatelolco en México, el comienzo del fin de la guerra en Vietnam, el album “Revolution” de los Beatles ... En el espacio eclesial recordamos: la primera jornada mundial de oración por la Paz, el Credo del Pueblo de Dios o Profesión de Fe de Pablo VI para culminar el Año de la Fe, la encíclica Huma- nae vitae y las primeras reacciones de adhesión o rechazo, la declaración de teólogos de la revista Concilium, el inicio del primer reordenamento de la Curia romana, la visita del Papa a Colombia del 22 al 24 agosto, la Conferencia episcopal realizada en Medellín, que Pablo VI inauguró en la catedral de Bogotá. Si el mayo francés golpeó a la Iglesia en Europa, el agosto de Medellín configuró la Iglesia latinoamericana. Esta contribución analiza la novedad de la Iglesia latinoamericana desde Medellín y Pablo VI a Aparecida y Francisco.
Abstract: In 1968 Medellin represents the emergence of our regional ecclesial figure. The assembly was held in the symbolic year 1968, in which many significant events took place. In the secular sphere they can be named: the assassination of Martin Luther King in Menphis, the student revolution symbolized in May of Paris, the frustrated spring of Prague, the massacre of Tlatelolco in México, the beginning of the end of the war in Vietnam, the album “Revolution” by the Beatles ... In the ecclesial space we remember: the first world day of prayer for Peace, the Creed of the People of God or Profession of Faith of Paul VI to culminate the Year of Faith, the encyclical Humanae vitae and the first reactions of adhesion or rejection, the declaration of theologians of the Concilium magazine, the beginning of the first reordering of the Roman Curia, the Pope’s visit to Colombia from August 22 to 24, the Episcopal Conference held in Medellin, that Paul VI inaugurated in the cathedral of Bogotá ... If the French May hit the Church in Europe, the August of Medellín configured the Latin American Church. This contribution analyzes the novelty of the Latin American Church from Medellín and Pablo VI to Aparecida and Francisco.
