Resumen: La devoción al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, “este misterio del amor de Dios por nosotros no constituye sólo el contenido del culto y de la devoción al Corazón de Jesús; es, al mismo tiempo, el contenido de toda verdadera espiritualidad y devoción cristiana” (Benedicto XVI) En el presente trabajo, inicialmente, analizamos los términos nacidos de la devoción vinculados con Santa Margarita María Alacoque, es decir, un leguaje devocional. Por otra parte, estudiamos las Encíclicas de los Papas como la de Pío XII Haurietis Aquas y su lenguaje doctrinal, teológico y concluimos que se puede mantener el primero con los contenidos exigidos por el segundo. Es una puesta al día de la devoción en términos modernos en orden a revisar nuestras oraciones, devocionarios y, en particular, nuestra predicación sobre el mensaje del amor propio de esta devoción tan difundida en el mundo.
Abstract: The devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus “the mystery of God’s love for us does not only constitute the content of the cult and of the devotion to the Heart of Jesus; it is, at the same time, the content of all true spirituality and christian devotion” (Benedict XVI). In this present work, initially, the terms springing from the devotion related to Santa Margarita María Alacoque are analized; i.e. a devotional language. On the other hand, the Encyclicas of Popes are studied, such as the one by Pío XII Haurietis Aquas with its doctrinal and theological language; and we have arrived at the conclusion that the first can be used with the contents demanded by the second. It is an “updating”, so to speak, of devotion in modern terminology, with the purpose of checking our prayers, our prayer books, and particularly, our preaching about the message of this kind of love, of the devotion wildely-spread in the world.
