Platonismo, cristianismo y darwinismo: Nietzsche y la distribución de la muerte

Los desarrollos nietzscheanos relativos al platonismo, al cristianismo y al darwinismo han sido objeto de diversas interpretaciones. En este trabajo, nos enfocaremos en abordar estas cuestiones desde una perspectiva que, aunque no central en la obra de Nietzsche, resulta relevante: la muerte. Esto se debe que en el platonismo, el cristianismo y el darwinismo, la muerte presenta un carácter fundamental: la vida como preparación para la muerte, la supervivencia del más apto, y la vida después de la muerte. Si la vida es allí pensada a través de la muerte y Nietzsche considera a la cultura occidental como enferma de dos mil años de platonismo —destacando al cristianismo y al darwinismo como continuadores princeps de esta decadencia—, ¿cómo no se produce un mayor despliegue de dicho concepto en el pensamiento nietzscheano? El objetivo aquí es mostrar que, aunque de manera no explícita, la noción de muerte atraviesa las reflexiones, las críticas y la postura innovadora con la que Nietzsche pretende ofrecer quiere una visión alternativa frente a las tres corrientes mencionadas.
Nietzschean developments concerning Platonism, Christianity, and Darwinism have been the subject of various interpretations. In this paper, we focus on addressing these issues from a perspective that, although not central to Nietzsche’s work, is nonetheless significant: death. This is because, in Platonism, Christianity, and Darwinism, death plays a fundamental role: life as preparation for death, the survival of the fittest, and life after death. If life in these frameworks is understood through the lens of death, and Nietzsche views Western culture as being diseased from two thousand years of Platonism—emphasizing Christianity and Darwinism as the principal continuators of this decay—how is it that this concept does not receive greater attention in Nietzsche’s thought? The aim here is to show that, although not explicitly stated, the notion of death permeates Nietzsche’s reflections, critiques, and his innovative stance with which he seeks to offer an alternative perspective to the three aforementioned currents.
