La inmigración suiza a Misiones-Argentina (1935-1939): un análisis a partir de las teorías migratorias

El presente artículo aborda el fenómeno de la inmigración suiza hacia el Territorio Nacional de Misiones (Argentina) entre 1935 y 1939 a partir de las teorías migratorias identificando los factores estructurales que propiciaron la movilidad de personas de ese origen y la influencia de las redes sociales como valor estratégico en la consolidación de vínculos entablados entre los migrantes en el proceso de adaptación al nuevo entorno. El análisis de fuentes cualitativas permitirá develar los motivos que los llevaron a tomar la decisión de emigrar, las políticas migratorias imperantes en cada momento y la necesidad de adaptarse a un entorno totalmente nuevo.
This article addresses the phenomenon of Swiss immigration to the National Territory of Misiones, Argentina, between 1935 and 1939. From an analysis based on different migratory theories, we identify the structural factors that led to the mobility of people of that origin and the influence of social networks as a strategic value in the consolidation of links between migrants in the process of adapting to the new environment. The analysis of qualitative sources will reveal the reasons that led them to make the decision to emigrate, the prevailing immigration policies at every moment, and the need to adapt to an entirely new environment.
