El presente trabajo se inscribe en una línea de investigación que aborda situaciones concretas de exilio en tanto fenómeno transnacional donde, al menos, dos comunidades (la exiliada y la de acogida), se conectan y generan un vínculo que trasciende el momento exiliar. En este sentido, reconstruiremos el accionar de un conjunto de organizaciones que trabajaron articuladas al Comité Ecuménico de Acción Social (CEAS), quien tuvo a su cargo la recepción y asistencia de gran parte de la comunidad chilena exiliada en Mendoza (Argentina) partir de la dictadura militar chilena que derrocó al presidente Salvador Allende Gossens (1970-1973). De manera particular, nos centraremos en la asistencia para la educación otorgada a un grupo de refugiados/as por el CEAS gracias apoyo de organizaciones como el Servicio Universitario Mundial (SUM en castellano), entre otras. Focalizaremos en los programas ejecutados, las redes de contactos y el perfil de quienes recibieron asistencia y en el impacto en sus trayectorias vitales, entre otras aristas. Para ello articulamos distintas técnicas y estrategias de investigación; por un lado, ejecutamos un trabajo de recuperación y análisis de archivos documentales, a fin de reconstruir históricamente el proceso analizado y, por el otro, reconstruimos trayectorias vitales de refugiados/as que obtuvieron la asistencia de estas organizaciones.
This work is part of a line of research that addresses specific situations of exile as a transnational phenomenon where, at least, two communities (the exile and the host) connect and generate a bond that transcends the moment of exile. In this sense, we will reconstruct the actions of a set of organizations that worked together with the Ecumenical Committee for Social Action (CEAS), which was in charge of receiving and assisting a large part of the Chilean community exiled in Mendoza (Argentina) from the Chilean military dictatorship that overthrew President Salvador Allende Gossens (1970-1973). In a particular way, we will focus on assistance for education granted to a group of refugees by CEAS thanks to the support of organizations such as the World University Service (SUM in Spanish), among others. We will focus on the programs executed, the contact networks and the profi le of those who received assistance and the impact on their life trajectories, among other aspects. For this, we have articulated different techniques and research strategies; on the one hand, we carry out a work of recovery and analysis of documentary archives in order to historically reconstruct the analyzed process and, on the other, we reconstruct the life trajectories of refugees who obtained the assistance of these organizations.
