"Sea conciso pero informativo": Recomendaciones discursivas en revistas científicas argentinas

Este trabajo se inscribe en un enfoque glotopolítico, interesado en estudiar el modo en que diversas instituciones o grupos intervienen sobre el lenguaje (Arnoux 2012, Del Valle 2017). Bajo el propósito de observar cómo se regula la escritura científica en la Argentina, se analizan las directrices para autores de revistas de ciencias exactas, naturales y sus aplicaciones en torno al género artículo de investigación en español. Luego de un relevamiento inicial se conformó un corpus de 130 revistas (vigentes e indexadas) sobre el que se estudiaron las recomendaciones acerca de la composición y el estilo de títulos, resúmenes y del cuerpo textual del artículo. Se anticipa que las sugerencias sobre títulos y resúmenes responden principalmente a criterios bibliométricos vinculados a la veloz recuperación de los artículos en bases de datos, y presentan una relativa estabilidad a lo largo de la serie. En cambio, las recomendaciones sobre el texto resultan dispares y refieren a distintos aspectos de la escritura (gramática, léxico, enunciación). Estas diferencias no responden sólo a las distintas inscripciones disciplinares sino a diferentes representaciones sobre el perfil de lector de los artículos, así como focalizan distintos recursos para alcanzar los rasgos que caracterizarían el estilo del género.
This paper comes under the field of glottopolitics, interested in studying the way a variety of institutions or groups intervene in language (Arnoux 2012, Del Valle 2017). With the aim of observing how scientific writing in Argentina is regulated, it analyses guidelines for authors of the exact and natural sciences and their practical implementations concerning the research article genre. After an initial survey, a corpus of 130 journals (current and indexed) was conformed, about which recommendations on composition and title styles, abstracts and the textual body of the article were studied. It can be anticipated that suggestions on titles and abstracts respond mainly to bibliometric criteria related to the quick recovery of the articles on the database and they present a relative stability along the series. Alternatively, the recommendations on the text are uneven and refer to the diverse features of writing (grammar, lexis, enunciation). These differences do not respond just to the disparate disciplinar inscriptions but to a variety of representations of the articles’ reader’s profile; they focus as well on different resources to achieve the attributes that would characterize the genre style.
