Née en 1884 dans une famille d´origine allemande, Juliane Antonia Dillenius est une anthropologue argentine. En 1911, elle est la première femme en Amérique à obtenir un doctorat universitaire (en anthropologie physique). Elle est l´une des quatre femmes qui participe au XVIIe Congrès international des américanistes en 1910. Entre 1911 et 1913, elle mène des recherches en anthropologie physique à l´ Institut d´anthropologie de Munich et au Museum für Völkerkunde de Hambourg. Elle est reconnue pour sa contribution aux études sur l´antiquité de l´homme américain. En 1913, elle épouse Robert Lehmann-Nitsche. Dès lors, elle ne publie plus mais collabore aux recherches de son époux.
