Literatura, un concepto imposible: Reflexiones a partir de algunas formulaciones derrideanas

El artículo explora algunas formulaciones de Jacques Derrida sobre los límites de la literatura, un problema teórico que conforma un fuerte punto de discusión en la crítica contemporánea y que el pensamiento derrideano anticipa. Los textos analizados corresponden a tres entrevistas realizadas al filósofo –a cargo de Derek Attridge (en 1989), Elizabeth Weber (en 1990) y Catherine Paoletti (en 1998)– y de las “Notas sobre deconstrucción y pragmatismo” –una conferencia en la que Derrida responde a las preguntas de Ernesto Laclau, Simon Critchley y Richard Rorty–. El recorrido por los cuatro textos permitirá observar cómo Derrida construye su pensamiento en diálogo con otros/as, es decir, a partir de la escucha del otro, y permitirá reflexionar sobre el problema de los límites entre la literatura, la filosofía y la crítica literaria, tres géneros fronterizos que están ligados al deseo de singularidad en la escritura y a la relación de destinerrancia –entre el texto, el destino que se le atribuye y un otro que responde–.
The article explores some formulations from Jacques Derrida about the limits of literature, a theoretical problem that constitutes a strong point of discussion in contemporary criticism and that is anticipated by derridean thinking. The texts analyzed here correspond to three interviews with the philosopher –by Derek Attridge (in 1989), Elizabeth Weber (in 1990) and Catherine Paoletti (in 1998)– and “Notas sobre deconstrucción y pragmatismo” –a conference by Derrida in which he answers the questions of Ernesto Laclau, Simon Critchley and Richard Rorty. The revision of these four texts allows to observe how Derrida constructs his thinking in dialogue with others, in a relationship in which others’ listening is important; and it allows to reflect on the problem of the limits between literature, philosophy and literary criticism, three border genres linked to the desire of singularity in writing and to the relation of ‘destinerrancy’ – between the text, the destiny attributed to it and an other who responds.
