El trabajo analiza las estrategias desarrolladas por Vicente Arquati y Paulino Echazú en diferentes espacios socioeconómicos de la provincia de Salta, entre fines del siglo XIX y principios del XX. Las mismas, posibilitaron la concentración de tierras, la comercialización de productos y otras actividades lucrativas. Sobre estas cuestiones se plantean interrogantes para identificar los factores explicativos de la imposibilidad de esos sujetos de mantener sus logros económicos, a pesar de haber poseído un capital social y simbólico.
This work analyzes the strategies developed by Vicente Arquati and Paulino Echazú in different socio-economic spheres in the province of Salta between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th. These strategies made possible the concentration of lands, the commercialization of goods and other lucrative activities. Based on these facts different questions raise to identify the explanatory factors for the impossibility of these people to maintain their economic achivements, in spite of having possessed a social and symbolic capital.
