The Anachronism Argument and the Cultural–Historical School in Argentina: Towards a Dyschronic Approach

This problem invites us to explore ways of circumventing the choice between universalism and relativism, as well as between presentism and historicism. In what follows, we unfold a brief semantics of “anachronism” in the light of various authors’ reflections on time and history. We then map the critique that constructs the cultural-historical school as an anachronism and, finally, we outline a possible “to-do list” for testing a dyschronic approach to history as a means of bringing the aforementioned singularity of the event to light.
