Este trabajo tiene por objeto reflexionar sobre algunas de las ideas pollticas básicas de la teoría neoliberal, en particular sobre las nociones de igualdad y desigualdad. En primer lugar se rastrean los orígenes del pensamiento neoliberal y sus estrategias de difusión. Luego se examinan en profundidad algunos conceptos clave del discurso neoliberal (como libertad, igualdad, justicia y democracia). Por último se ofrece una justiflcación de la importancia de estudiar las ideas neoliberales para comprender la hegemonía polltica neoliberal.
This paper aims to explore some of the basic ideas of the neoliberal political theory, in particular the concepts of Equality and Inequality. At first, it tracks the origins of the neoliberal thought and its strategies of diffusion. Secondly, this paper examines in depth some core concepts of the neoliberal speech (like Freedom, Equality, Justice and Democracy). Finally, it offers a justification of the importance of studying about neoliberal ideas in order to understand the neoliberal political hegemony.
