Contrapunteos coloniales: Frantz Fanon, Jean-Paul Sartre y el problema existencialista y colonial del Otro

El artículo analiza los vínculos teóricos entre Frantz Fanon y Jean-Paul Sartre. Para ello, se detiene en la particularidad de la lectura fanoniana sobre el cuerpo y la conciencia del negro colonizado, y su diálogo crítico con el planteo ontológico de Sartre de la relación entre el ser-para-sí y el ser-para-otro. Después se adentra en el examen de las nociones de trascendencia y libertad recurrentes en la escritura de ambos pensadores. En todo el escrito se intenta un diálogo que advierte distancias y cercanías entre Fanon y Sartre sobre el problema existencialista y colonial del Otro.
This article analyzes the theoretical connection between Frantz Fanon and JeanPaul Sartre. To achieve these ends, it explores the particularity of Fanon’s approach of the body and consciousness of the colonialized black people/negro, and its critical discussion of Sartre’s ontological perspective on the relationship between the beingin-itself and the being-for-others. It then explores the notions of transcendence and freedom that are frequent in the writings of both thinkers. Throughout the writing, a dialogue is attempted to point out the differences and similarities between Fanon and Sartre on the existential and colonial problem of the Other.
