Descripción
Argentina's participation in the Women's Copa América hosted by Chile exposed as never before the precarious conditions faced by Argentine women's football players. Through publications on social media and interviews with Argentine newspapers and radio programs, national team players manifested their unrest regarding the scant support they receive from the Argentine Football Association (AFA) reinforcing the cultural conception of football in Argentina as a "man's thing", a space governed exclusively by and for men. With this paper, we hope to expose the inequality of a historically androcentric sport practice and the new vindicating scenario proposed by the women's movement for the near future.
