Esta investigación consiste en el estudio de la escritura de pacientes esquizofrénicos, en el Hospital Psiquiátrico “Carlos Pereyra” y en una residencia terapéutica para hombres de la provincia de Mendoza. Debido a la escasa información existente sobre este tema, se consideró necesario profundizar sobre dicha patología. En particular, se indagó si esta enfermedad que afecta al cerebro, modifica de alguna manera la grafía de los sujetos. Así, se procedió al estudio y análisis minucioso de los escritos de pacientes esquizofrénicos, identificando qué factores se modificaban y de qué manera lo hacían. El método utilizado para el análisis fue el sistema scopométrico, el cual ayudó a encontrar las características que se vieron afectadas. Se concluyó que existe una alteración en la escritura actual de los pacientes respecto de la escritura obtenida anterior al primer brote esquizofrénico. Con esta tesina se quiere contribuir a ampliar el campo profesional del Licenciado en Criminalística, más específicamente en el área de la documentología, al momento de individualizar e identificar autorías gráficas.
This research investigates the handwriting of schizophrenic patients in the “Carlos Pereyra” Psychiatric Hospital and in a therapeutic residence for men in Mendoza. Provided the lack of information on this matter, a deeper study of this pathology became necessary. Specifically, this investigation explores whether this disease that affects the brain modifies the spelling of the subjects in any way. Therefore, writings of schizophrenic patients were meticulously analysed, identifying which factors were modified and in which manner. The method used was the scopometric system, which helped to find the affected features. The findings show that there is an alteration in the current writing of the patients in relation to the samples obtained prior to the first schizophrenic episode. The purpose of this thesis is to help broaden the field of Licenciatura in Criminalistics, more specifically the area of documentology, in instances of individualising and identifying spelling authorship.
