El Ánade Real (Anas platyrhynchos), potencial especie invasora para Chile

En este trabajo se presenta una revisión de los avistamientos de Ánade Real (Anas platyrhynchos) en condiciones silvestres en Chile entre 2003 y 2014. La especie fue registrada en 10 localidades. Se observó actividad reproductiva e indicios de hibridación con anátidos nativos. Se sugiere incluir al Ánade Real en el listado de especies introducidas en Chile, con el objetivo de plantear la necesidad de acciones de control.
A review of sightings of feral Mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) in Chile recorded between 2003 and 2014 is presented. We report the presence of the species in ten localities. The records report evidence for the reproduction and possible hybridization with native waterfowl species. Aiming to set the need for controlling the species, we suggest the inclusion of the Mallard in the list of introduced species in Chile.
