Descripción
Ground-based optical telescopes are essential tools for developing accurate ephemerides of solar system objects by providing precise astrometric and photometric data. This study highlights the contributions of the Kottamia Astronomical Observatory’s 1.88-meter and 0.28-meter telescopes in refining the orbital parameters and positional predictions of asteroids, comets, space debris, and satellites. The telescopes are employed for differential astrometry and multi-band photometry, leveraging their capabilities for long-term mon itoring and high-precision measurements.
