Ventriloquía del horror expresionista

El artículo analiza dos óleos del artista venezolano Arnaldo Delgado. Mediante un estudio de casos, los resultados sugieren que los especímenes del horror retratados por Delgado parecen ser ventrílocuos de su misma existencia. También, que en su pintura asisti mos a una extraña alquimia que, primero, daría vida a la propia transmutación de la muñequería en obra de arte pictórica, y, segundo, en la forma de una amalgama en tre muñequería y horror, haría posible el giro estético ontológico del artista precisamente en dirección a un expresionismo del horror.
This article analyzes two oil paintings by Venezuelan ar tist Arnaldo Delgado. Through a case study, the results suggest that the horror specimens portrayed by Delgado seem to be ventriloquists of their own existence. It also suggests that in his painting we witness a strange alche my that, first, would give life to the very transmutation of dollmaking into a pictorial work of art, and second, in the form of an amalgamation of dollmaking and horror, would make possible the artist’s aesthetic-ontological shift precisely in the direction of an expressionism of horror.
