The Software Testing Ontology called TestTDO: An enhancement

This article analyses TestTDO v2.0, an ontology designed for the software testing domain. This new version represents an evolution of its predecessor, TestTDO v1.3, by considering a broader scope and being aligned with ProjectCO v2.0, a recent project management ontology. TestTDO v2.0 integrates the results of an analysis of recognized glossaries in the software testing area, which allowed for the identification of certain terms with high syntactic and semantic frequency. A comparison between these terms and those in TestTDO v1.3 revealed that most of the existing labels and definitions did not require significant modifications when included in TestTDO v2.0. Finally, the practical impact of the concepts and relationships defined in TestTDO v2.0 is illustrated by incorporating them into the specification of software testing processes.
El presente artículo analiza TestTDO v2.0, una ontología diseñada para el dominio de las pruebas de software. Esta nueva versión constituye una evolución de su predecesora, TestTDO v1.3, al considerar un alcance más amplio y estar alineada con ProjectCO v2.0, una reciente ontología de gestión de proyectos. TestTDO v2.0 integra los resultados de un análisis de glosarios reconocidos en el área de pruebas de software que permitió identificar ciertos términos con alta frecuencia sintáctica y semántica. Una comparación entre estos términos y los de TestTDO v1.3 reveló que la mayor parte de las etiquetas y definiciones existentes no requirieron modificaciones significativas al momento de incluirlos en TestTDO v2.0. Finalmente, se ilustra el impacto práctico de los conceptos y relaciones definidos en TestTDO v2.0 al incorporarlos en la especificación de procesos de pruebas de software.
