- The genus Senecio is represented in the Province of Tucuman by 40 species, all indigenous, distributed in two subgenera : Eusenecio with twelve sections, Dioiconenecio with only one section. The species and varieties that are new to science are the following : S. flagellifolius nov. sp. S. Lorenizii var. radiatus nov. var., S. Lorenizii var. lalifolius nov. var., S. macualos nov. sp.,
El género Senecio está representado en la provincia de Tucumán (Argentina) por 40 especies, todas indígenas, distribuidas en dos subgéneros: Eusenecio, con doce secciones; Dioicosenecio, con una sola sección. Las especies y variedades nuevas para la ciencia son las siguientes: S. flagellifolius nov. sp., S. lorentzii var. radiatus nov. var., S. lorentzii var. latifolius nov. var., S. maculatus nov. sp., S. roripaefolius nov. sp. y S. tafiensis nov. sp. El autor da claves y descripciones de todas las especies.
