La representación de mujeres cis viejas en "El agente topo" (2020)

En el artículo se analiza la representación sobre las mujeres cis mayores en el documental chileno El agente topo (2020), a partir de la siguiente premisa: el discurso que se construye sobre la mujer vieja, ¿reproduce narrativas estereotipantes o aporta a visibilizar sus problemáticas, sentires y vivencias? Desde un análisis del discurso multimodal, con enfoque multiescalar, se observa que el documental refuerza la idea de infantilización, soledad, enfermedad, decadencia e improductividad que existe sobre la vejez, vulnera la intimidad de estas mujeres y produce una homogenización, al reducir su rol a abuelas y madres.
The article analyzes the representation of older cis women in the Chilean documentary El agente topo (2020), based on the following premise: does the discourse that it builds on the old woman reproduce stereotyped narratives or does it contribute to making visible their problems, feelings and experiences? From an analysis of the multimodal discourse, through the multiscale approach, it was observed that the documentary reflects the idea of infantilization, loneliness, illness, decadence and unproductiveness that exists about old age, violates the intimacy of these women and produces a homogenization, reducing their role to that of grandmothers and mothers.
