El cuerpo en la posmodernidad

Sabemos que la subjetividad está determinada por el Otro cultural, es decir que cada época engendra una modalidad subjetiva particular. El cambio en la subjetividad trae aparejado un necesario cambio en el modo en que se presenta el malestar, por lo cual existe un malestar correspondiente al discurso imperante. En este sentido el estatuto del cuerpo ha variado en el curso de la historia y con ello las modalidades en que el malestar se manifiesta. Nuestro interés será hacer un breve pasaje por las concepciones del cuerpo en distintos períodos de la historia para abocarnos al valor y tratamiento que cobra en la actualidad y preguntarnos acerca de sus consecuencias subjetivas manifestadas principalmente en los llamados “nuevos síntomas”.
We know that subjectivity is fixed by the cultural Other, it es to say that each epoch generates a particular subjective modality. A change in this implies a necessary change in the way maladjusment is present, that is why there is a particular maladjustment within each main discourse. In this sense, we may say that body statute had change during the course of History and so did manifestations of maladjustment. Our main interest will be to summarise body conceptions through different historical periods to enter, then, in the consideration of value and management gained nowadays by this aspects, asking ourselves about the subjective consequences mainly manifested in the so called “new symptomes”.
